Electronic Government Procurement (e-GP)

The e-Procurement System also called the Electronic – Government Procurement (E-GP) System is the use of Information and Communications Technology (especially the internet) by governments in conducting their procurement relationships with suppliers for the acquisition of goods, works, and consultancy services required by the public sector. As of 1 January, 2024, Mongu Municipal Council shall move all procurement processes of good and and service on the e-GP system on the ZPPA website.

This move comes in the wake of the Local Authority continuing to find innovative, transparent, efficient, and accountable ways of providing the much-needed services to the people.

What Does This Mean?

All service providers, suppliers and contractors intending to do business with the Local Authority in the areas or works, supply of goods and services must be registered with ZPPA and will on be able to bid for tinders via the e-GP platform provided by the Zambia Public Procurement Authority.
